Dr. Roger Gingerich
Executive Director

Roger has been a family physician since 1986. In April 2006, Roger joined the CMDS Executive Committee as a member-at-large for Central Canada. In January 2007, the Executive Committee requested that he take on the role of Executive Director of CMDS. As a result, Roger has re-organized his practice in order to allocate time to this new role. He has worked in nine different countries including the Darfur region of Sudan, the Kosovo Crisis and the Mozambique flood of 2000. Roger is married to Eleanor and they have four children and five grandchildren. They make their home in Steinbach, MB. Roger and Eleanor both have a heart passion for Christian ministry.

Marilyn Wieler
Administration Director

Marilyn volunteers at her church library and both her and her husband act as Sunday morning greeters there. Marilyn and her husband are active in a small group at their church. They volunteer on a 'In the Company of Friends' committee. Her and her husband did a 4-year volunteer assignment with the Mennonite Central Committee at the US headquarters in the 90's. They have gone on a church organized work trip to Ukraine. Marilyn loves gardenning, travelling and reading.

Kim Pappel
Communications Director

Kim grew up in southern Manitoba. Following graduation, she went to Central Pentecostal College in Saskatoon for a year, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba. Kim and her husband, Laverne, spent nine years in Weyburn and Estevan, Saskatchewan where their three children were born. They moved back to Manitoba four years ago to be closer to their extended family. Kim is active in her children’s school, the local dance studio, the hockey rink and the prayer ministry at her church. Kim loves the outdoors, reading, sports and spending time with family and friends.
