CMDS Membership

The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and Canadian Dental Association (CDA) help you become a better professional physician or dentist. Your local fellowship of believers (church) facilitates your Christian character development. Who can you turn to for assistance in integrating both your spiritual and professional journeys? More than 30 local CMDS groups meet in various regions of Canada to minister to the needs of Christian physicians, dentists and students, and to discuss the application of materials that uphold an explicitly Christian view of medicine and dentistry.

CMDS Member Services:

• Publishes FOCUS Magazine

• Posts short and long-term job opportunities, both within Canada and internationally
  (See Opportunities page);
• Offers reduced registration fees at workshops and conferences;
• Supports a toll-free "Helpline" for medical and dental trainees
  (See the Young Wounded Healer page);
• Helps network like-minded colleagues through a Members Directory;
• Produces literature to assist in integrating faith and practice
  (See Position Statements, Focus Magazine and the National Office Newsletter);
• Offers short-term missions opportunities through affiliate organizations;
• Provides investment and Planned Giving services in collaboration with Link Charity;
• Participates in the Canadian Registry of Hippocratic Practitioners.

Practitioners	Part-time	$165
Practitioners who are retired or in first 3 years of practice or not practicing		$75
IMG Physicians or Dentists who are not licensed in Canada		$75
Residents		$50
Medical or Dental Students or Missionaries		$25

(If married and both in full-time practice, one member pays full-time fees, the other pays part-time fees.)
